Directions of Use

Carrot Spice Protein Pancakes:
1. Whisk 1/2 cup mix (1 serving) with 1/3 cup + 1 tablespoon cold water until well blended. Let sit for 3 minutes while griddle warms up. Batter thickens as it sits.

2. Heat griddle to low heat (285-295°F).

3. Pour batter into 3-4 inch pancakes on lightly greased, pre-heated griddle.

4. Cook until no more bubbles are forming in the center and the edges look dry (about 3 minutes). Flip and cook until golden brown.

Carrot Spice Protein Waffles:
1. Whisk 1 cup mix (2 servings), 1 egg and 2/3 cup cold water until well blended. Let sit for 3 minutes while waffle iron heats up. Batter thickens as it sits.

2. Cook according to your waffle iron instructions.

1 Let the batter settle

Mix thoroughly with the listed amount of water and then wait a few minutes before pouring the batter on the griddle. The whey protein isolate needs time to work its magic :) 

2 Don't over-grease the pan

We've found a light hint of cooking spray works best for protein pancakes and prevents them from sticking.

 

3 Cook on low heat and be patient

Otherwise you run the risk of burning the outside and undercooking the inside. Remember, "slow and low" baby!
